Balanced Support Reins is a family run business in County Durham, established in 2014.

Our original horse riding aids are are not off the shelf products, they are our own bespoke inventions, which are patented worldwide.

Krissy Bowden, equestrian coach, and stable manager designed and patented Balanced Support Reins because there was a need for a kinder, less restrictive type of grass rein, that allowed the horses and ponies their natural movement while preventing them from being out of the control of the rider. Balanced Support Reins were designed to be easy to use, but smart and discreet.

With great emphasis on quality craftsmanship, Balanced Support Reins have grown to be a trusted and loved rein aid set around the world.

We feel it is important to know that our riders are comfortable, but also ensure the design is kind to the horses and ponies.
